Superintendent Sharon Baker has led on transforming support for survivors of Domestic Abuse who work in policing. She established Avon and Somersets internal survivor network and led the creation of the force’s Domestic Abuse Pledge, designing tangible, innovative support but also shaping culture that has built trust and confidence of victims. She has also co-authored national “Language Matters” guidance, tackling victim blaming culture within policing, soon to be published by the College of Policing.
