Kelly is an academic with research expertise in policing responses to domestic and sexual violence, victim-survivors, criminal and procedural justice, and understanding emerging forms of abuse, such as cyberflashing and image-based sexual abuse. Recently, Kelly has been the Pillar 3 lead for Operation Soteria and Bright Light, working with police forces and other academics to improve policing responses to victim-survivors and embed a procedural justice approach to victim engagement.
