About TecSAFE

As the UK government launches its strategy to halve violence against women and girls within a decade, TecSAFE exemplifies how technology can deliver real change for both victims and policing. Delivered by the Police Digital Service and supported by the Home Office, TecSAFE is a bespoke solution designed to strengthen policing’s emergency response and safeguard the most vulnerable.

Through an enhanced 999 protocol, victims of domestic abuse, stalking, harassment and other VAWG-related crimes gain rapid, direct access to the police. Once activated, TecSAFE provides real-time location tracking and intelligence to control rooms, enabling swift, consistent intervention across the UK. Already live in over 37 forces and available in 43 languages, TecSAFE has supported over 32,000 individuals to rebuild their lives after abuse.

Aligned with the new VAWG Strategy’s pillars of prevention, relentless pursuit of perpetrators and victim support, TecSAFE demonstrates how innovation can enhance public protection and create safer communities.
